This Privacy Policy describes and governs the information collection, use, and sharing practices of AudioRanger IT ("we", "us", and "our") with respect to using our website or installing, using or downloading our software application ("App"). Before you submit any personal data to us, either through or in connection with our website or App (our "Services"), please carefully review this Privacy Policy. By using any part of our Services, you understand that your information will be processed as outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this privacy policy, please do not use our Services or otherwise submit any personal data to us.

1. Information we collect

We may collect information in different ways, such as when you visit the website, send us an email, use or purchase our Services, or provide information directly to us.

We do not collect any personal data on our website and also do not use any browser-based tracking technologies like cookies. You have full access to all features and offerings of our website even if you have cookies disabled in your browser.

We will, however, automatically collect certain anonymized statistical usage information of our Services within our server log files. We collect anonymized IP addresses, geographic location (by country and city), browser type, browser language, operating system, referring web pages, pages and content viewed on our website, the date and time of the visit, the amount of time spent on particular pages, and other similar anonymized usage information.

If you place an order with us or send us an email, we will collect personal information from you. This may include but is not limited to your name, email address, mailing address, geographic location and payment information.

2. Legal basis for collecting and processing personal data

Our legal grounds we rely on to collect, process and share your personal data are as follows:

  1. If you have purchased our Services, to honor our contractual commitments to you. Much of our information processing is to meet our contractual obligations in order to provide our Services to you as our customer.
  2. To serve our legitimate interests. In several cases, we handle information on the ground that it serves our legitimate interests in ways that are not overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the affected individuals. Our legitimate interests include but are not limited to meeting our contractual obligations, protecting against misuse, fraud and spam, and ensuring the security of our technical infrastructure.
  3. To comply with legal obligations. We may need to collect and use information to comply with legal obligations.
  4. In consent with you. Where required by law, and in some other cases where legally permissible, we handle information on the basis of your consent. Where we handle your information on the basis of consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent. Please contact us at the email address listed on the "Contact" page on our website if you want to withdraw your consent.

3. How we use your information

We may use the information we collect from and about you to fulfill the purposes for which you provided it, provide and improve our Services (including to develop new features or services or take steps to secure existing services), provide technical and customer support, send you information about your relationship or transactions with us, send you other communications (such as newsletters to which you have subscribed), and conduct analytics, research, and reporting from your use of our Services.

Please note that we combine information that we collect from you and about you with information we obtain about you from our payment processor service provider, and use such combined information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

4. When we disclose your information

We may disclose and/or share your information under the following circumstances:

  1. To share information with our service providers. We may disclose your information to third parties who perform services on our behalf, including data storage and processing as well as order and payment processing. However, all of our service providers are based in the European Union and are thus obligated to the very strict rules of the European General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").
  2. To comply with legal obligations. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or necessary to comply with legal processes, to enforce or apply this Privacy Policy or other contracts with you (including investigation of potential violations thereof), or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
  3. In consent with you. We may disclose your information to any third parties based on your consent to do so. Where we disclose your information on the basis of consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent. Please contact us at the email address listed on the "Contact" page on our website if you want to withdraw your consent.
  4. Aggregated or anonymized information. We may disclose aggregated and/or anonymized data for any purpose to third parties, including without limitation for research and marketing purposes.

5. Website analytics

We use web analytics to collect and analyze the information described in the "Information We Collect" section above, and to engage in auditing, research, or reporting. The web analytics information (including your anonymized IP address) will however not be disclosed to or collected by any third-party service providers (such as Google Analytics), but is solely collected, analyzed and stored on our own computer servers. We use web analytics information to evaluate your use of our Services, analyzing usage trends, and protecting against misuse and fraud.

6. Your choices and data subject rights

You have various rights with respect to the collection and use of your information through our Services. Those choices are as follows:

  1. European GDPR rights. Individuals in the European Union and possibly other jurisdictions have the legal right to obtain confirmation of whether we hold certain information about them, to access such information, to demand its correction, deletion, limitation and portability, to object to our handling of their information, restrict our processing of their information, and to withdraw any consent they have provided. To exercise these rights, please contact us at the email address listed on the "Contact" page on our website. You also have the right to go directly to the relevant supervisory or legal authority, but we encourage you to contact us so that we may resolve your concerns directly and promptly.
  2. Unsubscribe per email. You may unsubscribe from our emails at any time by clicking on the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of each of our newsletters or by contacting us at the email address listed on the "Contact" page on our website.

7. International transfers

All of our computer systems and contractors are currently based in the European Union, and we do not share your information with any service providers or business partners outside of the European Union. This means that all of your information is protected by the very strict rules of the European GDPR.

8. Security measures

We have implemented technical, physical, and organizational security measures to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of your information. However, we can not and do not guarantee that these measures will prevent every unauthorized attempt to access, use, or disclose your information since despite our efforts, no internet or other electronic transmissions can be completely secure. If your personal data is (or is likely to be) divulged, damaged or lost, we will immediately take remedial measures, inform the users in a timely manner and report to the competent government agencies as required by applicable laws.

9. Children

Our Services are not directed at children under the age of 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from children under the age of 16 (as defined by the European GDPR), we will delete it.

10. Data retention

We retain the information we collect for as long as it is necessary for fulfilling our contractual obligations (i.e. until the contract is terminated), serving our legitimate interests (but at most 5 years), or complying with legal requirements to preserve records (e.g. 7 years for financial records).

11. Third-party links and services

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites and other services. If you choose to use any third-party websites or services, you may disclose your information not only to those third-parties, but also to their users and to the public more generally depending on how their services function. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such third-party websites or services. The collection, use and disclosure of your information will be subject to the privacy policies of the third party websites or services, and not this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of any third-party websites you visit.

We do not use any third-party social media buttons on our website (which would transfer your personal information to third-party websites like e.g. Facebook or Twitter).

12. Changes to this privacy policy

We will continue to evaluate this Privacy Policy as we update and expand our Services, and we may make changes to the Privacy Policy accordingly. We encourage you to check the Privacy Policy on our website periodically for updates to stay informed on how we collect, use and share your information. If we make material changes to the Privacy Policy, we will provide you with notice as required by law.
